“BENIYA”

I create artwork using camera obscura (Pinhole camera). The fragile light coming through a pinhole into the inside reflects just the natural outer world. Through mixing with memories and words and attaching (photographs or rough sketches) transparent image, another world that you did not see can be expressed. I ask myself how I can understand and see the world on the border where everything is mixed, including moments and periods of time, and existence and absence.

This is a work group by “pinhole camera” from 2008 to 2010.

“BENIYA” is the material of wood in Japan.
